AI Legal Toolbox

Terms of use

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms govern your use of AI Legal Toolbox, provided by Elysia Partners Pty Ltd, ABN 78 685 100 930 ("we", "us"). By using the product you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a practice, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

What the product is

AI Legal Toolbox is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook that prepares work for a qualified legal practitioner to review. It drafts correspondence, summarises material, proposes calendar entries, files correspondence to matters and records time.

It is not a lawyer and it does not give legal advice. Everything it produces is preparatory work. It does not exercise professional judgement, and it does not carry your professional obligations. A qualified person must review, correct and take responsibility for anything that goes to a client, a court or another practitioner.

Your responsibilities

Accuracy

Artificial intelligence systems make mistakes. This one is designed to say when it cannot see something rather than invent an answer, and to flag uncertainty rather than fill the gap, but it can still be wrong about matters of fact, law or tone. You must not rely on its output without checking it.

Fees

Availability

We work to keep the product available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, and we will try to do that at times that suit Australian practices.

Your information

How we handle the information the product can see is set out in our privacy policy, including where that information is currently processed. Please read it, particularly if your practice has requirements about offshore processing.

Your content stays yours

Your correspondence, your documents and anything the product generates for you belong to your practice. We claim no ownership of it, and we do not use it to train general purpose artificial intelligence models.

The software itself, and the way it works, remains ours.

Third party services

The product relies on Microsoft, and optionally on your practice management provider. If those services change or become unavailable, parts of the product may stop working. We are not responsible for those services.

Ending the arrangement

You can stop using the product and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end an account if these terms are breached, if fees go unpaid, or if we are required to. We will give you reasonable notice unless the circumstances make that impossible.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those rights apply and we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of doing so.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

We are not liable for loss arising from output you did not review before relying on it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the product after that means you accept the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction.
